Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for a new opportunity, or a Civil Project Engineer with a background in transportation and public works projects looking for your shot at Project Management? We are seeking a Transportation Project Manager to join our Vancouver Transportation and Public Works team. We are looking for a collaborative individual with knowledge and experience in public works transportation to add to our already talented team. - Keys to Success:
- Plan, provide design guidance, and manage a variety of civil engineering projects.
- Communicate with clients regarding current projects and identify and position the firm to successfully win future work.
- Effectively supervise technical staff to deliver projects.
- Prepare and manage project scope, budget, schedule and meet deliverables.
- Assist with business development efforts to cultivate strong client relationships.
Qualifications:
- Registered PE in the states of Washington and/or Oregon
- 5+ years of public works transportation experience.
- Experience mentoring civil project engineers and EITs
- Previous experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
- Experience in specification writing and engineering cost estimate preparation
- Business development experience and/or interest in helping to drive client relationships and new work with existing and new clients
Occasional job duties may include the following:
- Supervise/Design and prepare plans for small structure projects.
- Assist in preparing CAD drawings using GEOPAK, INROADS, and MICROSTATION software.
- Supervise staff developing construction plans from engineering design calculations.
- Supervise or perform quantity calculations and cost estimates for projects.
- Supervise/ Design and prepare erosion control plans.
- Supervise/Design and prepare plans for Roundabouts.
- Supervise/ Prepare plans for maintenance of traffic of roadway projects.
- Attend various meetings such as field checks, public information, hearings, and pre-construction.
