Position Overview: As a Civil Engineer PE specializing in Land Development, you will lead and manage various aspects of engineering projects, ensuring their successful execution from conception to completion. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact in shaping the landscape of New Orleans and the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of land development projects.
- Conduct thorough site assessments and feasibility studies.
- Prepare and review engineering designs, plans, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Oversee and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, including surveyors, architects, and environmental specialists.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize project outcomes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Interact with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree is a plus.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Louisiana
- 8+years of experience in civil engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.
- Strong understanding of stormwater management, grading, and utility design.
- In-depth knowledge of local zoning codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
