Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer, P.E. to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the civil engineering field, with a focus on surveying and mapping. The candidate must hold a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of California. This role requires a strong background in project management, technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with our surveying team.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Civil Engineer you will be responsible for the preparation of grading, street, sewer, water, and storm drain plans using the highest standards in the industry while maintaining rigorous client schedules.
The Candidate must demonstrate excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills, possess strong communication skills, and encourage teamwork by personal example through hands-on productivity.
The candidate should demonstrate the highest organizational abilities, thoroughness, attention to detail, and accuracy.
Project Management: Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet client specifications, regulatory requirements, and are delivered on time and within budget.
Surveying & Mapping: Oversee and conduct boundary and topographic surveys, aerial mapping, and construction staking. Utilize advanced technology such as 3D point clouds and drone construction services.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and quality of all surveying and mapping projects. Implement and maintain rigorous quality control standards.
Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, providing updates, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with our team of surveyors and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to ensure project success.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with state and federal regulations, ensuring all projects comply with applicable laws and standards.
Innovation & Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve our processes, tools, and technologies to enhance service delivery and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of California.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on surveying and mapping.
Experience in Land Surveying and Land Development is a plus.
Proficiency in surveying and mapping software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS).
Experience with aerial mapping, 3D point clouds, and drone technology is highly desirable.
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
