Civil Engineer - PE - Selectek, Inc.

Selectek has an opening for a Civil PE in Decatur, GA.  The focus of this role will be to assist in leading the company, developing business and mentoring young engineers in the areas of Land Development - grading, hydrology, stormwater, etc.  Other areas will include: water / sewer design, water quality, storm drainage, street design, and more.

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Profession Engineer License
• Design experience
• Civil 3D is highly preferred but AutoCAD may be considered
• 10+ years of experience

This company focuses on Hotel / Hospitality / Medical / Retail / Commercial but does some residential as well.
Job Expectations:

• Serves as a liaison with clients and agencies critical to the successful completion or our projects. 
• Has full technical responsibility to organize, execute, interpret, and coordinate assignments.
• Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs several large, important projects at any given time.
• Acts independently to anticipate challenges, troubleshoot, consult with senior staffers, and ensure project success.

Job Duties:

• Business Development
• Leadership role within company to junior engineers and designers
• Design in Civil 3D
• Review geotechnical, environmental, and transportation reports to identify engineering problems and assess the possible impact to projects
• Compute water and sewer flow rates, grading requirements, hydrologic run-off rates, and hydraulic capacities of pipes and swales
• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects
• Estimate quantities and cost of materials, labor, or equipment to determine project feasibility
• Inspect and monitor each project’s progress and ensure conformance to design specifications
• Prepare or present project deliverables, such as drawing packages, specifications, drainage reports, utility studies plats, and bid proposals to client or agency with jurisdiction over the project
• Provide technical advice regarding construction and design
• Keep informed of new scientific methods and developments affecting engineering design
• Plan and design projects following construction and governmental standards, using design software and AutoCAD Civil 3D

Pay:  $120,000 - $200,000 annual salary
Location:  Decatur, GA 
Hours & Shift: Monday - Friday 8AM – 5PM
Overtime: Possible
WFH: Possible Hybrid (depending on experience)
Remote:  Possible
Travel: possible, local Atlanta mostly
Work Attire: Business Casual
