We are on the hunt for a dedicated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise in the Engineering industry and contribute to the design and creation of infrastructure projects that have a direct impact on society.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Civil Engineer, you will be expected to:
1. Use your advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Microstation to design and draft detailed drawings for civil engineering projects like roads, bridges, utility systems, and more.
2. Oversee all stages of project life cycles, including design, development, and implementation, while adhering to budget and timeline constraints.
3. Apply your understanding of civil engineering principles to solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
4. Conduct site inspections and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, etc.) to plan and design projects.
5. Work closely with the project management team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
6. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, outlining project progress, challenges, and solutions.
7. Coordinate with other engineers, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
8. Comply with all industry rules and regulations, ensuring all designs are safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Civil Engineer position should have:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or Professional Engineer (PE) certification will be an added advantage.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a civil engineering role with a focus on infrastructure projects.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microstation, and other relevant design software.
4. Strong knowledge of project management principles and experience managing complex projects from conception to completion.
5. Experience in designing utility systems and roadway structures.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
7. Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
9. A solid understanding of civil engineering principles and industry regulations.
10. Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions, as site visits may be a regular part of the job.
