Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer with expertise in land development projects, a track record of working with homebuilders and commercial projects, and proficiency in AutoCAD. As a Civil Engineer in our Land Development team, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of various land development projects.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Design:
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for land development projects.
Prepare detailed site plans, grading plans, and drainage designs using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
Coordinate with architects, surveyors, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive project designs.
Homebuilder and Commercial Project Collaboration:
Collaborate with homebuilders and commercial developers to understand their project requirements and objectives.
Provide engineering expertise and solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each project.
Act as a liaison between the company and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project progress.
Regulatory Compliance:
Familiarity with local zoning codes, land use regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Prepare and submit permit applications, and liaise with regulatory agencies for project approvals.
Construction Support:
Provide technical support during the construction phase to ensure projects are executed according to design specifications.
Conduct site inspections and address any engineering-related issues that arise during construction.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams including architects, surveyors, landscape architects, and environmental engineers to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
3+ of experience in land development projects, with a strong focus on working with homebuilders and commercial projects.
Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, site planning, and design.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and internal teams.
Knowledge of local zoning codes, land use regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
