Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking a highly motivated **Civil Engineer I** to join our dynamic team in **Oakland, California.** As an entry-level civil engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects while developing your skills and contributing to our organization's success. + Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects under the supervision of experienced engineers + Conduct engineering calculations, create sketches, and prepare schematic drawings + Collect and analyze data to support project requirements and decision-making processes + Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce detailed drawings and plans + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met + Participate in site visits and field work to gather necessary information + Contribute to the preparation of reports, specifications, and other technical documents + Support the development of cost estimates and project schedules + Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals from regulatory agencies + Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices **Qualifications** MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: + EIT Certification + Knowledge of CAD software and proficiency in MS Office suite + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Excellent written and verbal communication abilities + Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices + Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment + Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work + Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies + Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently + Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development **Additional Information** + This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Oakland, CA. The selected candidate must be available to work in Oakland, CA on a scheduled basis. + Relocation assistance is not available for this position. + Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
