Position Summary

The geotechnical Engineer I is responsible for delivering high-quality engineering and design documents that meet project success criteria. Key responsibilities span client interaction, technical design, quality assurance, and personal development in preparation for licensure as a Professional Engineer.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Valid driver's License
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Preferred: Registration as Engineer-in-Training (EIT).

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and financial functions.
• Basic level of computer-aided design using AutoCAD, Civil3D preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting 25 lbs. or more.
• Willingness to work extended hours and travel overnight occasionally.

Work Environment:

• Office environment with moderate noise levels.
• Occasional fieldwork in varying weather conditions and noisy construction sites.
