We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Civil Engineer to join our vibrant team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water, wastewater, hydraulic, and civil engineering. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who is seeking a challenging role that will allow them to showcase and further develop their skills within a supportive and innovative environment. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and overseeing various construction projects. This role requires registration in Texas (PE or EIT).
Responsibilities:
1. Plan, design, and oversee construction projects such as water and wastewater treatment plants, hydraulic systems, and infrastructure projects.
2. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design, project specifications, and safety standards.
3. Prepare, review, and update technical design documents and project reports.
4. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering professionals to ensure project success.
5. Conduct feasibility studies for proposed projects, presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
6. Apply principles of civil engineering to solve complex problems related to water and wastewater systems.
7. Utilize computer-aided design software for the creation of blueprints and project plans.
8. Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
9. Actively participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required. A Master’s degree will be considered an asset.
2. Must have a Professional Engineering (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
3. Experience in civil engineering, specifically in the construction industry.
4. Proficiency in using engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
5. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and best practices, specifically in water, wastewater, and hydraulic systems.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
9. Knowledge of construction laws and regulations, as well as a commitment to staying up-to-date with changes in the field.
10. Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure and adapt to changing project needs and priorities.
