About being our Civil Engineer Designer - Transportation
As a Civil Engineer Designer with our Transportation Team in the Roseville /Sacramento area, you will assist with transportation engineering projects. Typical projects include transformative active transportation, transit and roadway/highway projects for clients such as the Cities of Sacramento and Roseville, Caltrans and Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT)
Responsibility Highlights for our Civil Engineer Designer - Transportation
- Executing technical tasks requiring solid knowledge of transportation and infrastructure on public works projects
- Under supervision, providing support to project team for all necessary design services, direction, coordination, and follow-up on the work duties assigned.
- Design efforts will be concentrated in transportation engineering, to include research and analysis, engineering studies, street and highway design, transit, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, drainage and water quality design, and utility coordination
- Assisting with transportation related reports for roadway projects
- Attend meetings with clients, preparing notes and exhibits, as required
Minimum Qualifications to be our Civil Engineer Designer - Transportation
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience in civil engineering design with agency or consulting firm with a focus on transportation projects, including roadway/highway design, roadway widenings, interchange modifications, bike trails/paths, etc.
- Knowledge and experience in computer software utilized in the transportation industry including AutoCAD
- Familiarity with AASHTO, Caltrans and local municipality design and procedures, regulatory compliance, and agency coordination
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications for our Civil Engineer Designer - Transportation
- NCEES FE (E.I.T.) Certification
- Knowledge and experience in Civil3D, MicroStation and OpenRoads software
