Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking a highly talented, self-driven, and motivated Civil Engineer to be based in the Columbus, Ohio area. _This position is expected to begin in June 2025._ The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Builds analytic and design skills. + Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer. + Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer. + Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. + Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems. + Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + Candidate must have completed Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or have demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Transportation-related internship/work experience. + Proficiency in CADD and industry-standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads). + Engineer-in-Training certification or ability to obtain within one year. + Experience with business development and client relations. + Experience with oversight of junior staff. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. + Understanding of GIS software and coding languages. + Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills. + Ability to work independently and within a team environment. + Experience designing transit (ideally BRT infrastructure) and/or transportation infrastructure. + Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field **Additional Information** + Relocation assistance is not available for this position. + Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
