Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Site Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of land development projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards. This role involves both technical and project management responsibilities, working closely with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop land development and public works projects including grading plans and street improvements.
- Prepare construction drawings and specifications for various civil engineering projects.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to ensure effective storm water management solutions.
- Perform site visits to assess project progress and compliance with design specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to achieve project objectives.
- Coordinate with utility companies to ensure proper installation and integration of utilities.
- Review and approve contractor submittals and shop drawings to ensure adherence to project requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or in pursuit of licensure.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development and public works.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering software.
- Strong understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic analysis techniques.
- Experience with grading plans, street improvements, and storm water management practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
