Civil Engineer - Selectek, Inc.

Well established Atlanta firm is looking for a Lead Civil Engineer.
A Sr. Civil Engineer responsible for leading civil design processes for projects.
Required: 

• Civil Engineering degree
• P.E.
• Minimum 10 years' experience
• Civil drainage and stormwater facility experience 
• Autocad (for reading prints)
• Experience with As-Builts

Job Duties:

Responsibilities

• Execution of engineering & design works within budget and schedule
• Working as Client Representative within a multi-disciplinary team, for supervision of the construction works which are being carried out under lump sum contracts
• Lead and manage technical design processes on multi-disciplinary projects
• Plan, monitor and supervise work of other engineers
• Prepare technical reports, tender documents, bill of quantities, evaluate technical bids & reviews vendor/third party documents
• Participate in Client and Contractor facing technical and progress meetings
• Coordinate with the Client and Contractor and particular focus on liaising with relevant Authorities and overseeing wayleave applications
• Co-ordination with other disciplines to resolve engineering issues during design development, review and check processes - to ensure design packages meet the relevant health, safety and environmental standards
• Discussions with support engineers and designers regularly on scope, man-hours and schedule
• Participate in the technical reviews and progress review of projects

Qualifications

• Must have your P.E.
• The position requires 10 or more years of progressive professional experience and a degree in civil engineering.
• Management of multidisciplinary design projects including foundation underpinning, dewatering, civil drainage and grading, storm water facilities, geotechnical investigation, soil and groundwater remediation systems, and renewable energy projects
• Sound understanding of engineering principles, technical skills for analysis, and an understanding of the civil site grading and drainage, civil transportation roadway layout, grading and drainage conforming to state and federal department of transportation standards.  Must have expertise in Microstation, InRoads and CAICE
• Experience in forensic evaluation, remedial design, alternatives analyses, conceptual design, erosion and sediment control plans, storm water hydrology and green infrastructure impacts, tree preservation and landscape plans conforming to state and local jurisdictions and engineering cost estimates.  Must have expertise with HEC-RAS, HydroFlow, StormCadd and AutoCad 3D.
• Demonstrated Project Management skills associated with engineering projects
• Demonstrated experience managing junior engineers and associated support staff as direct reports and/or in a project team setting
• Demonstrated business development skills, including a robust industry network, an existing client base, preselling, prospecting, proposal development, and cost estimating
