We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Permanent Civil Designer to join our innovative Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil design, project management, and hydraulic modeling. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and executing civil engineering designs and concepts, using a variety of software applications including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and others. This role will provide the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, from transportation engineering to site development. Responsibilities
1. Creating and managing complex civil engineering designs and concepts using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other software applications.
2. Collaborating with project teams to develop and execute project plans, ensuring that all engineering standards and regulations are met.
3. Utilizing hydraulic modeling techniques to design and optimize water and wastewater systems.
4. Engaging in transportation engineering projects, including designing and planning roadways, bridges, and other transportation infrastructure.
5. Participating in site development projects, including land development, grading, drainage, and utility design.
6. Overseeing project management tasks, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
7. Collaborating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that project objectives are met.
8. Conducting site inspections and evaluations to ensure that design specifications are met and to identify potential issues.
9. Continuously updating knowledge and skills to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil design, project management, and hydraulic modeling.
3. Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other relevant software applications.
4. Experience in transportation engineering and site development.
5. Licensed Professional Engineer with a Civil EIT.
6. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex engineering issues.
9. Detail-oriented, with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality work.
10. Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
