Civil Construction Project Superintendent at Brewster Companies, Inc

The Project Superintendent position manages union laborers and operators on Heavy Highway Civil projects within the St. Louis Metro Area. Our supervisors are required to have strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in Construction.


• General understanding of reading plans and specifications in accordance with the construction of a project.


• General understanding of the IDOT and MODOT standard specifications for road and bridge construction.


• Knowledge of pay items and job costing.


• GPS knowledge is a plus.

Job Duties:

• Review contract documents.


• Manages and leads operators and laborers throughout the duration of the project.


• Schedules workers for daily tasks on each project.


• Manages day-to-day operations and safety for each project.


• Assists in gathering data for billing purposes.


• Reviews and approves materials and equipment for project work.


• Coordinates activities, materials, procurement, and other related activities with Project Manager and Field Staff.


• Communicates progress and prepares appropriate reports as needed by the Project Manager, Project Director, Owner’s Rep, Architect, etc.


• Represents the company at weekly Project Owner’s meetings.


• Responsible for the scheduling and performance of all operators and laborers on each project.


• Supervises review and coordination of submittals.


• Ability to build and execute a project according to plan.
