About the Job
Selectek is seeking a qualified CAD Technician focused on civil drafting for our partnering company near LaGrange, Georgia. This firm focuses on civil engineering services for residential and commercial developments, and potential candidates will be heavily involved in land development design.
Employment Type: Temp to Direct
Location: LaGrange, GA
Expected Pay Range: $22.00-$29.00 per hour before conversion
Job Requirements:
- 2+ years of design experience
- Experience with land development design including layout, grading, drainage, and erosion control.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018 or newer
- Ideal candidates hold an associates degree in drafting/design tech or other certification
In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
Job Duties:
- Create designs for land development
- Generate drawings for mixed-use development, industrial sites, and commercial and residential projects
- Utilize Civil3D tools such as alignments, profiles, pipe networks, corridors, and grading objects
- Work with city, county, and government agencies to streamline the permitting process
- Interpret and use topographic information
- Work under technical supervisors who will check progress and review work on completion
