We are looking for a highly skilled Cisco Wireless Engineer to lead the review, redesign, and deployment of advanced wireless solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep expertise in wireless network engineering, particularly with Cisco systems, and have the ability to design and implement innovative wireless technologies to meet the evolving needs of our network infrastructure.

Job Description:
We are hiring an experienced Cisco Wireless Engineer to work for us as our direct, W2 salaried or hourly employee to join our team. You will:
Key Responsibilities:
- Wireless Network Design & Implementation: Develop and implement complex wireless network solutions, including conducting site surveys, performing RF planning, and determining optimal access point (AP) placement to ensure robust coverage and high performance.
- Cisco Wireless Expertise: Manage Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs), Access Points (APs), and associated technologies. Utilize advanced knowledge of RF management, mobility, and security features to optimize wireless networks.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Diagnose and resolve wireless network issues related to RF interference, channel utilization, roaming, and performance bottlenecks. Continuously optimize network performance to ensure high availability and seamless user experiences.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain wireless network security best practices, including WPA/WPA2(3) encryption, guest access control, and adherence to relevant compliance standards such as PCI DSS and HIPAA.
- Automation & Network Orchestration: Leverage network automation tools (e.g., Cisco DNA Center) to streamline network management and improve operational efficiency.
- Vendor Management: Work closely with vendors for hardware procurement, ongoing support, and maintenance of wireless network infrastructure.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure clarity and consistency across teams.

- RF Planning: Conduct RF surveys, analyze propagation models, and optimize AP placement for optimal coverage and capacity.
- Mobility Management: Implement and troubleshoot mobility features (e.g., roaming, load balancing) to ensure seamless user experience.
- Security Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA) related to wireless security.

- Wireless Protocols: Proficiency in IEEE 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax), Wi-Fi Alliance certifications (e.g., Wi-Fi CERTIFIED), and their applications.
- Network Design and Implementation: Ability to design, plan, and implement complex wireless networks, including site surveys, RF planning, and AP placement.
- Troubleshooting and Optimization: Expertise in diagnosing and resolving wireless network issues, optimizing performance (e.g., RF interference, channel utilization, roaming), and ensuring high availability.

- Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Network Management Tools: Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Wireshark).
Desired Skills and Experience:
- CWNP certifications (CWAP or CWSP) are preferred
