Job description:
- Build a strategy to establish an Immersive Telepresence, Desktop and Mobile Video communications, audio and video systems and their related network infrastructure. Installation and configuration of a wide range of video conferencing and integrated audio and video equipment.
- Design, implement and support solutions, encompassing Cisco Unified Communication, Cisco Spark, Cisco Jabber, Cisco WebEx and Cisco Telepresence for meetings, messaging, audio and video calling.
- Work across teams in network design, convergence (QoS/CoS), routing (BGP, EIGRP) and switching (VLAN trunking, Ethernet) with focus on resiliency, availability, and latency modeling.
- Provide training and client support to users in the operations of VC/ AV systems.
- Conducting audits, writing reports and provide installation documentation and guidance
- Working with and potential management of teams and schedules.
- Maintain the overall design of the various Unified Communications systems and ensure audio visual conferencing, messaging and collaboration technologies meet business requirements.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of best practices and advances in emerging technologies, closely matching technology solutions to the business needs of the firm.
- Maintain system documentation, as-builts, service manuals, and knowledge base articles for the support of each system. Develop and implement training materials.
- Manage a vendor support team of technical and functional experts, interacting directly with other cross-functional support teams for timely resolution of production application issues
- Build strong team relationships with multiple stakeholders including support teams and end users. Stay connected with functional stakeholders through regular meetings Act as single point of contact for escalations ensuring they get addressed appropriately with continuous communication
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
- 10+ years' experience in Information Technology
- 5+ years of Unified Communication experience
- 2+ years' installation and configuration of video infrastructure and systems
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Barrick may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.
- Must be willing to travel domestic & international
- Must be willing to work out of an Barrick office
- Cisco Career Certifications or Equivalent Work Experience such as:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional/ Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCNP/CCDP)
- Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP)
- Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) Voice Track
- Experience in voice / telepresence technologies
- Technical skills and understanding of VC solutions and IT network infrastructures.
- Prior experience in field based VC/ AV engineering within an audio visual/ unified communications and/ or IT networking environment - installing, testing and commissioning audio and video technologies from first fix to end of job sign off.
