Job Title: Kitchen Cook / Line Cooks

Start Date: January 26, 2025

Duration of the Show: January 26, 2025 – March 23, 2025~

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Primary Responsibilities 

• Prepare food for service to Cirque’s employees (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Creations ensure the variety and quality of the servings.
• Answer, report, and follow Cirque chef’s instructions.
• Clean up the station and take care of leftover food.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure that food comes out in high quality and in a timely fashion.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Help oversee the prep cook’s duties and tasks.

The ideal candidate will: 

• Attention to detail, fast learner, reliable, and has good integrity
• Able to list, stack, and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Food Handler Certifications are preferred.
• 2-4 years of full-time experience at a high-volume restaurant or catering company in a hands-on cooking capacity.
• Must be willing to work as early as 7 AM (Mostly morning shift)
• Must be comfortable in assisting and taking instructions from the Cirque chefs.
• Must be willing to assist in putting away deliveries, organizing, and cleaning the kitchen.
• Must be comfortable with menus that change daily, as well as cooking different cuisines.
• Experience working in the grill and saute section is essential.
• Experience working in the larder section is an advantage.
• Experience in preparing desserts from scratch is an advantage. 
• Must be willing to assist in any other cleaning tasks, including cleaning different kitchen equipment (ovens, hoods, etc.) as directed by the Cirque chefs.
• Availability to have access to their own knives and aprons.

Schedule:

• Working Hours: 35-40 Hours per week.
• Morning shift starts between 7am-8am and Evening Shifts starts between 12 noon and 1:00 pm
• Working Days: 5 days a week/Wednesday-Sunday (Subject to change according to the show schedule)
