Join our team as a Child and Youth Program Assistant in a Child and Youth Services program at Fort Wainwright, Alaska! In this role, you will maintain control of and account for the whereabouts and safety of children and youth, plan and coordinate activities, establish a positive program environment, and maintain program participation data and daily reports.
No experience is required for this position. We will train you!
A high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a current health assessment, and be able to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

This position is mission and weather-essential. The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is Fort Wainwright and surrounding areas within 150 miles of the installation.
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited-tenure, and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, the Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
The incumbent is entitled to a 1.69% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA). (subject to change without notice).
