Catholic Community Services, Family Behavioral Health is looking for a Child & Family Therapist (Clinician III) to join our team of innovators who explore and develop new approaches and implement novel strategies. WHAT WE OFFER:

• Base Salary: $71,194.50+ (DOE)
• Additional pay: $1,800.00 per year for coverage after hours
• Incentive pay: Up to $8,000.00 per year (Based on performance)
• Additional pay for: Licensure
• Additional pay for: Bi-lingual fluency in Spanish & English of $100.00 per pay period (2 times per month)

Training and Supervision:

JOB SUMMARY:

This is a professional position providing therapeutic interventions to children, youth and their families with intensive behavioral health, crisis response, and community safety needs. Therapeutic services provided by a Clinician III include crisis intervention and extended stabilization as well as longer-term, team-based behavioral health services to children, youth and their families. Clinicians work flexible schedules and home and community-based services in the setting of the youth and families. This position will participate in an on-call rotation with other Clinicians and Clinical Care Coordinators. This unique way of working allows clinicians the opportunity to offer a high level of collaboration, coordination and intensive behavior health services while allowing room for creativity and needs driven work. Emphasis is on achieving incredible outcomes with children, youth and families by actively partnering with them along with their natural and community services and supports to achieve long term safety and stability in our neighborhoods and communities.

The Clinician III is the primary behavioral health treatment provider assigned to a child, youth and their family. The Clinician III is a lead clinical support, completing the intake/assessment and prescribing mental health treatment, identifying strategies and services to high-risk children, youth and their families. The Clinician III position requires the skills and abilities to assess immediate safety and risk 'in-the-moment' in crisis situations while providing direct therapeutic intervention and support for a diverse population of children with behavioral health needs. Clinicians work flexible schedules in order to meet with youth and families at times and places that are convenient to them, meaning clinicians often work later in the day, frequently after 5pm.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Engage child/youth and family in services and build strong therapeutic alliances
• Provide clinical assessment and DSM diagnosis
• Assess safety needs and risks and create collaborative safety and supervision plans
• Ensure linkages to community resources, services, and supports
• Provide crisis response by phone, in person, or by directing other staff members
• Develop, implement, and oversee mental health treatment plan
• Provide intensive and strengths-based therapeutic services and supports, including Evidence Based and Promising Practices customized to each client and family
• Complete all Medicaid required treatment documentation, including treatment plans, safety crisis plans, and assessments, ensuring appropriate Medicaid coding and entering information into an electronic health record.

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING IN A CANDIDATE:

• Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences, or equivalent, accredited degree
• Energetic, innovative style with the ability to engage children, youth and family members in services
• Enthusiastic and optimistic approach, encouraging ongoing participation of all involved
• Natural ability to work with others through a genuine strengths-based approach, appreciating unique qualities and assets of all involved
• Preference for a flexible schedule rather than a traditional, fixed, 8-5, Monday through Friday, facility-based position.
• Should be able to participate in on-call rotation responsibilities, which will be discussed in our screening process.
• Passion for helping families stay together
• Knowledge of the impacts of oppression and persecution on mental health and daily functioning and skills in trauma-informed care.
• Preferred: Spanish language fluency in reading, writing, and speaking in therapeutic context. 
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and automobile insurance
• Must have an acceptable driving record per CCS’ driving record
• Applicant must successfully pass required background checks prior to an offer of employment
• Ability to visually assess safety in the community and family homes
• Ability to meet with clients and colleagues in homes and community locations as needed

• Knowledge of WISe (Wraparound with Intensive Services) principles and practice preferred, but not required at time of hire
