About the Job
CREDENTIALS: Community First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification, preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Requires skills in engaging and working directly with the clients and also with parents as partners. Must be able to work successfully with families from diverse ethnic and cultural groups. Crisis management or Residential Treatment experience or experience working with severely emotionally disturbed/mentally ill clients preferred. Must be self-directed, efficient, use time management skills, and be results-oriented. Must function as a productive member of a service team, and of the Child and Family Team, and maintain clear and appropriate boundaries with clients, families, and other members of the team(s). Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to function independently and with minimal oversight in an effective and productive manner. Ability to use various computer software (Office XP, Windows XP) and Outlook a must.
Valid California Driver's License with excellent driving record. Use of personal car at times with mileage reimbursement. Must have proof of insurance.
Language skills: Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Must also possess the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. As a representative of Casa Pacifica, must be able to conduct themselves as a professional at all times when in the community. Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
