Job Summary
- A caregiver’s primary responsibility is to provide a safe and nurturing environment every day for the children in our care while offering peace of mind to their parents.
Education
- Must be at least 19 years of age and have a high school degree or equivalent.
- Preferred educational requirements:
- Related degree (Bachelors, Associates) in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field including Elementary Education, Special Education or Child Life
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
Experience
- Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice and NAEYC accreditation guidelines.
- Complete a minimum of 12 hours of child care provider training in the first 30 days of employment.
- Complete a minimum of 12 hours of training each calendar year of employment.
Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
- Meet federal, as well as individual state requirements (i.e. physical, OSHA) and maintain credentials for the position (i.e. ongoing training).
