The Child Care Center Manager is responsible for the overall operationsof the Deaconess Children's Enrichment Center, including:
- Educational programming:
- Coordinating and directing the center's educational programming.
- Conducting formal and informal classroom observations.
- Leading and coordinating ongoing training efforts.
- Offering guidance on classroom management skills, classroom behaviors, etc.
- Reviewinglesson plans and weekly reflections and offers suggestions when necessary.
- Personnel management:
- Conductinginterviews and makinghiring decisions for new staff.
- Guidingand encouragingprofessional development.
- Conducting staff evaluations and counseling staff regarding disciplinary issues.
- ParentInteraction & Involvement:
- Maintainingrapport with families.
- Addressing parent concerns.
- Seeking feedback and improvement through the Parent Advisory Council and annual program evaluations.
- Fiscal Responsibility:
- Preparing and submitting the annual budget.
- Reviewing monthly financial reports and managing center within budget constraints.
- Coordinating yearly fundraisers.
- Searching for grant opportunities.
- Operations:
- Overseeingthe maintenance of the facility.
- Coordinating with engineering and maintenance for updates and repairs.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.
- Maintaining all state licensing regulations.
- Seeking accreditation when appropriate.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and at least five years of supervisory experience.
- Master's Degree in Education preferred with a minimum of 15 hours in early childhood education.
