Position Overview:
Our Award Winning Client is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Child Abuse Pediatrician to join their Child Protection Program in Philadelphia, PA. This program, established in 2004, provides comprehensive evaluations for children suspected of physical or sexual abuse and neglect in the greater Philadelphia area. The program includes multidisciplinary teams working in inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, and regional Child Advocacy Centers. The pediatrician will also have an academic appointment at Drexel University College of Medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical evaluations for suspected child abuse cases, working with a multidisciplinary team.
- Collaborate closely with local investigators and agencies to communicate medical findings.
- Participate in educational efforts, training medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Contribute to program development, promoting the highest standards of pediatric care.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Child Abuse Pediatrics.
- Board Certified in Pediatrics.
- Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency.
- Completed an ACGME-accredited Child Abuse Pediatric Fellowship.
- Eligible for an unrestricted PA medical license and DEA certification for Commonwealth of PA.
