Chief Technology Officer / Web3 Community Architect
We’re Looking for the Architect of the ImpactSoul Revolution.
Work with an amazing team and our current CTO, a legend.
If you aren't deeply in the blockchain community for years, this is NOT a fit for you. You will lead the decisions with our head of product to refine our tech stack and choice of all vendors and open source code.
A thousand days from now, a new movement will emerge. From idealists to entrepreneurs, billionaires to cashiers, humanity will align around impact done right—funding meaningful projects, recognizing all contributions, and building a future where purpose drives profit.
We’re building a blockchain-powered ecosystem to power this impact revolution, catalyzing and running relentlessly positive decentralized communities of impact creators, with on-chain verification work done and self-sustaining economics.
Our community approach is used by top NGOs, including XPRIZE; the grassroots giving platform of top influencers like Selena Gomez; an association of 140 universities; and others. We’re also building grassroots movements of our own based on tokenizing iconic real-world assets like a T-Rex skeleton and world-renowned art, with a part of the proceeds donated to matching impact causes as our communities use their creativity and talents to help grow asset value.
The Project Backer: RampRate
Founded in 2000, RampRate is a B Corp certified technology leader driving social and environmental impact. Our mission: disrupt outdated systems, empower communities, and deliver measurable, accountable results through innovative blockchain solutions. RampRate has powered new business models and massive optimization in IT strategy for Fortune 500 companies like Microsoft, eBay, Sony, CBS, Intel, and dozens of others - and is now focused on building the next of industry leaders finding a path to profit through purpose.
The Project: ImpactSoul
Decades of research show that the deepest happiness is found in community and giving. If you can bottle that joy of a deep connection and shared impact, you can get people to move mountains. Yet most attempts, from social networks to DAOs have failed in their community-building mission. Based on decades of academic research and years of firsthand experience, we have learned to do better by building a new hybrid DAO model: the Relentlessly Positive Community.
We use the model to enable NGOs like XPRIZE, Dollar Donation Club, and others to generate and harness the joy of a positive impact community. We’ve built an alpha version of the project with XPRIZE sponsored by a $3M grant from Casper Labs.
We use this same tech to build impact communities of our own, which work to increase the value of tokenized assets and trigger impact donation pledges as that value grows. For example:
- We tokenize a T-Rex skeleton and align it with species conservation.
- We build a community of dino fans and activists who own tokens.
- The community acts as a mini-company, growing the T-Rex’s value 3x-10x by improving fundamentals with new revenue streams and multiples with brand equity and viral marketing.
- As the asset evolves from a dusty museum exhibit to a global impact brand, it unlocks multi-million dollar donation pledges to community-chosen NGOs.
ImpactSoul will be spun off from RampRate by Q1 2025. Subsequently, we’ll launch 30 of these projects in the next three years, acting as the shared services org and tech platform supporting them while taking token allocations as upside.
In the process, we’re creating the Asset Backed Impact Token (ABIT) - the first instrument in the crypto world with capped downside and 10x upside. And we’re unlocking the long-awaited real-world asset tokenization revolution that experts like Accenture, PWC, BCG, and Blackrock are valuing in the trillions.
Your Mission
As CTO, you will:
- Define & Lead: Architect an enhancement of scalable, secure blockchain-based community reputation and incentivization ecosystem, and guide its development.
- Formalize Grant Funding: Work with our NGO partners and Layer 1 project sponsors to develop and commit to specific milestones to finalize one or more technology development grants that have funded the effort.
- Buy and Integrate: Select, contract, and integrate best in class building blocks from commercially available and open source projects. Our goal is to not reinvent the wheel on any basic functionality that’s already out there - we’re not building new forum software, a new chain, etc.
- Build and Innovate: Where functionality needs to be new - such as our AI-based tools for things like team balancing, integration of sentiment analysis and reputation, maintaining intrinsic motivation in an incentivized framework, etc., we expect to see a lean and agile development cycle.
- Innovate On-Chain: Work with Dollar Donation Club to help develop a new joint approach real-time blockchain-based impact verification.
- Deliver MVP: Use incoming grant funding to build a refined, impactful Minimum Viable Product 2.0 that can be used to engage other partner NGOs and obtain supplementary grants.
- Set Up Operations: Launch and support 3-4 foundational communities for XPRIZE, DDC, and our own asset-backed impact token (ABIT) projects, and build the back-end technology operation supporting them for a recurring.
- Launch Tokens: Work with the finance team, sponsor Layer 1 chains, and other partners to generate and launch ABITs for individual assets and a unified $IMPACT token serving as an index fund of all ABITs.
- Collaborate Globally: Partner with influencers, NGOs, and other organizations to amplify our mission.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Leader: Experience in large-scale, innovative tech projects, specifically those that engage large consumer communities with participants at least in the thousands.
- Blockchain Expert: Deep knowledge of protocols, tokenomics, and dApps, as well as building cross-chain solutions and those that bridge Web2 and Web3.
- Resourceful Builder: Skilled at leading lean teams to deliver results.
- Impact-Driven: Passionate about using technology to solve global challenges.
