Our platform is a unique blend of technological innovation and design, aimed at transforming how couples plan their special day and how vendors gain visibility. Our mission is to revolutionize the wedding industry and empower buyers and sellers with an ecosystem of AI-driven tools and intuitive, user-friendly product design.

The wedding industry represents a vast and lucrative market, with a global value exceeding roughly $200 billion and growing. However, there is a clear gap in innovative, tech-driven solutions, as couples increasingly seek personalized, efficient, and unique wedding experiences. We’re looking for a CTO who sees the potential for a platform like Weddings.io and is eager to be a part of its growth as the first AI-centric wedding planning platform in the world.

Salary: $100-120K + founding shares

Responsibilities

1. Technology Vision and Strategy

   Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the overall business goals of Weddings.io. Stay abreast of new technological trends, especially in AI and SaaS, and adapt strategies to maintain competitive advantage.

   
   

2. Leadership and Team Management

   Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing technology team, including software engineers, developers, data scientists, and IT support staff. Create a collaborative and innovative work culture that fosters creativity and efficiency.

   
   

3. Product Development and Management

   Oversee the entire lifecycle of product development, from ideation and design to deployment and updates. Ensure the platform's architecture is scalable, reliable, and adaptable to changing business needs.

   
   

4. Quality Assurance and Risk Management

   Implement best practices in software development, ensuring high-quality product deliverables. Identify potential technological risks and develop mitigation strategies.

   
   

5. Compliance and Security

   Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, particularly in data protection and privacy. Oversee the security of the platform, safeguarding against cyber threats and ensuring data integrity.

   
   

Minimum Requirements

• You are located in Los Angeles or the surrounding Bay Area.
• You are currently leading a tech team involved in Generative AI.
• A graduate or dropout of Computer Science from one of the Ivy League schools.
