HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:Your Role:
- Under the direction of the department director maintain policy, procedures, and systems within the technical area to comply with hospital, ASTRO, ACRO, and JCAHO standards by identifying problems and taking corrective action.
- Act as a liaison between radiation therapists and other work groups both within and outside the radiation oncology department.
- Collects pertinent data about the patient and the procedure; determined by the patient’s needs or condition.
- Analyzes information obtained during the assessment phase and develops an action plan for completing the procedure.
- Provides information about procedure to the patient, significant others, and health care providers.
- Implementation/Device Setup: Quality patient services are provided through safe and accurate implementation of a deliberate plan of action.
- Monitors/assesses patient throughout treatment course and follow-up visits.

- Radiation Practice Manager and Medical Director
Supervises:
- Radiation Therapist
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY:
Required Education:
- Degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, or related field. Degree programs in Radiation Therapy must be accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology in Radiation Oncology.
Required Experience:
- 2-3 years experience as a Radiation Therapist
Preferred Experience:
- 1 to 2 years experience as a supervisor in a Radiation Oncology Department.
Required Certification/License/Registry:
- Active State of Florida Department of Health certification as a Radiation Therapy Technologist.
- Active certification as a Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
