About the Job
Our client, an FAA-certified aircraft component repair station, is seeking an experienced Chief Pneumatic Inspector to lead their pneumatics department. This full-time position is based near Fort Lauderdale International Airport and offers a unique opportunity to oversee a dynamic team, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in pneumatic operations. With a reputation for excellence, our client specializes in the repair and overhaul of a variety of aircraft accessories, including pneumatic valves, starters, and air cycle machines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all inspection activities within the pneumatics department.
- Review and approve technician dispositions, ensuring all tests meet required standards.
- Certify testing results for pneumatic components and ensure accurate documentation.
- Maintain, enhance, and certify pneumatic testing equipment for optimal performance.
- Enforce compliance with FAA and EASA regulations across the department.
- Provide support to technicians, assisting with troubleshooting and problem-solving as needed.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Repairman certificate or Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in an inspector role within an MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environment. Prior experience as a pneumatics technician or pneumatics inspector is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of pneumatic systems, including valves, starters, and air cycle machines.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FAA/EASA compliance and testing requirements for pneumatic components.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a team and ensure consistent quality and compliance standards.
