About the Job
As a Chief Operating Officer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization. Your mission will be to ensure the successful delivery of projects with utmost quality, client satisfaction, and efficiency, all while keeping within budget and timelines. You will oversee all business operations, integrating various functions from business development to client project execution to ensure seamless performance across the company. Your leadership will drive new business acquisitions and promote continuous improvement by managing key performance indicators focused on profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Assume full profit and loss responsibility, ensuring the company's financial health and operational success.
Manage day-to-day operations, providing strategic bandwidth for the CEO to focus on broader company initiatives.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency across all departments.
Foster a culture of accountability and clarity in operations.
Lead the adoption and integration of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) across the organization.
Coach and mentor department leaders in applying EOS principles effectively.
Facilitate EOS-focused meetings to ensure alignment with company goals.
Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance organizational performance.
Implement a structured approach to issue resolution, emphasizing data-driven decision-making.
Engage actively in high-level project management tasks including estimating, negotiating, and client interactions.
Support and lead the team during recruitment, and personnel adjustments to match project demands.
Maintain and develop client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and engagement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven leadership abilities and experience in managing comprehensive business operations.
Expertise in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and oversight.
Strong background in oil field construction, understanding industry-specific principles and practices.
Demonstrated ability to develop and lead teams, holding members accountable while maintaining respectful relationships.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required; an MBA is preferred.
At least ten years of progressive experience in construction management, with significant experience in oil and gas construction management.
A minimum of two years in a project management role.
