We are currently seeking a dynamic, strategic, and innovative Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our team. This is a permanent role that will give you an opportunity to shape the future of our healthcare organization. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of our company, ensuring that our hospital runs efficiently and effectively to provide the best possible care for our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of the medical industry, financial acumen, and exceptional leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement operational policies and a strategic plan to help achieve the company’s mission and objectives.
2. Oversee daily operations across various departments including finance, human resources, and medical services.
3. Work closely with the CEO and other senior executives to plan and develop strategies for operational processes and improvements.
4. Prepare and manage the hospital’s budget to support operational efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Ensure compliance with legal regulations and maintain an understanding of healthcare trends and legislation.
6. Collaborate with medical and non-medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
7. Lead and motivate staff to meet performance goals, foster employee alignment with corporate goals, and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
8. Implement data-driven, continuous operational improvements to enhance efficiency and quality of care.
9. Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including patients, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in Health Services, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field is required.
2. Minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital.
3. Strong understanding of budgeting, financial management, and healthcare regulations.
4. Proven experience in operations management with a track record of effectively leading an operation's team and managing various types of healthcare professionals.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and provide direction to a large team.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
7. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
8. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
9. Familiarity with MS Office and various medical software.
