Job Summary:
As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of [Company Name], you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the operational aspects of the organization. This executive leadership position requires a seasoned professional with a comprehensive background in operations, finance, human resources, recruiting, contracts management, service delivery, and business development within the federal contracting landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership:
Provide strategic guidance and leadership in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
Streamline and enhance operational efficiency across departments.
Oversee the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
2. Financial Management:
Work closely with the CFO to ensure sound financial management and budgetary control.
Analyze financial reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
3. Human Resources and Recruiting/Talent Acquisition:
Lead the HR function, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.
Develop and implement HR policies and programs to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Collaborate with recruiting/Talent dpartment/team to attract and retain top talent.
4. Contracts Management:
Oversee the end-to-end contracts lifecycle, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
Mitigate risks associated with contracts and implement best practices in contract management.
Collaborate with legal teams to negotiate and finalize contracts.
5. Service Delivery:
Ensure the successful delivery of high-quality services to federal clients.
Monitor and assess service performance, implementing improvements as needed.
Foster a client-centric approach and maintain strong client relationships.
6. Business Development:
Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the business development strategy.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the federal contracting space.
Strengthen existing client relationships and expand the company's footprint in themarket.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a COO or in a similar executive leadership role within a federal contracting company.
Strong background in operations, finance, HR, recruiting, contracts management, and business development.
In-depth knowledge of federal regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Exceptional strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
