The Children’s Advocacy Center of SW Florida (CAC) is a busy non-profit agency located in Fort Myers serving Lee, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades Counties. At CAC, we offer abuse determination services for children as well as therapeutic counseling, parenting education and prevention programs.
CAC is seeking a qualified full time Director of Operations to oversee daily operations of Children’s Advocacy Center of SWFL, Inc. and to perform activities to support the mission, vision, and value of the center.
General Responsibilities (full job description will be provided upon interview):
- Performs all activities to support the mission, vision and values of the Children’s Advocacy Center.
- Oversees daily operations of the CAC.
- Demonstrate leadership skills through the incorporation of the CAC values.
- Provides on-site program operations management to support CAC’s core programs and directs the program staff under the guidance of the Chief Executive Officer.
- Assists in the development of agency policies and procedures.
- Provide direct leadership for CAC’s Operating Policies and Procedures.
- Manages budgets and works with other members of the executive and management team to increase revenue and control expenses.
- Provide direct supervision to all programs.
- Serves as liaison with community partners and clients with regard to service delivery.
- Works to resolve client, staff and volunteer conflicts professionally and effectively.
- Collaborate with the CAC Leadership team to meet the goals outlined in the Strategic Plan and to promote a professional and positive work atmosphere at the CAC.
- Provides presentations to local and national groups as needed.
- Assumes responsibility for operation of agency in the absence of the CEO.
- Oversees, maintains and develops direct service programs.
- Write or assist in submission of grant applications.
- Maintains compliance with all funding sources.
- Maintains positive working relationships with the community and agency partners.
- Participates in community awareness and fundraising events that support CAC.
- Prepare and analyze monthly management and performance reports, statistics and critical incidents.
- Develops effective systems of oversight for all programs and related administrative programs and ensures compliance with internal and external standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; Master’s Degree preferred. Knowledge of the Children’s Advocacy Centers’ mission, vision and programming helpful. Prefer a licensed Florida Mental Health Counselor or Clinical Social Worker License (or licensure eligible).
- Minimum 5 years of high level managerial experience overseeing multiple departments/divisions required. Experience working closely with Human Resources preferred.
