Our organization is seeking a seasoned and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) with a strong background in the healthcare construction industry. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and experienced leader who can drive our company's operations and guide us towards long-term success. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a hands-on, results-driven individual who can oversee our company's ongoing operations and procedures, implement strategies, and ensure the profitability of the company. Relocation services are offered.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and vision to the organization by assisting the board and staff with the development of long-range and annual plans, with evaluation and reporting on progress.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and management of the company.
- Develop and implement operational policies and a strategic plan.
- Act as the primary spokesperson for the company.
- Develop a strong understanding of the company's financials and manage the Profit and Loss.
- Direct company operations to meet budget and other financial goals.
- Implement a system for tracking and reporting on the progress of the strategic plan.
- Engage in key or targeted customer activities.
- Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
- Implement a continuous improvement culture and initiatives throughout the company.
- Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
- Manage and resolve complex business issues, reducing risks and resolving conflicts where necessary.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in an executive role (COO, Sr. Project Manager, Project Executive, or equivalent) in the construction industry.
- Must have exp. doing healthcare, surgical centers, medical buildings, hospitals
- Proven track record of managing a company's profit and loss/forecasting/analysis
- Strong experience in corporate strategy development and execution.
- Demonstrated experience in "Construction Management."
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional conflict management and decision-making abilities.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices.
- Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision.
- Strong understanding of markets, finance, and performance metrics.- Lump Sum/GMP Design build costing exp.
- BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus.
- Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance, etc.
