Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking an experienced Inspector to perform construction engineering and inspections on a variety of construction projects including railroad, bridge, and highway in Connecticut. Come join our team on these exciting projects! AECOM currently provides construction engineering inspection services for the I-95 Exit 74 Interchange Improvement project in East Lyme, Connecticut. The purpose of the project is to correct the vertical geometry of I-95, to replace the I-95 Bridge over Route 161, and constructing new on and off ramps at Exit 74. Project Cost: $150M Completion: 2027 + Responsible for performing assignments in construction layout, making, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests. + Responsible for coordinating and managing the lower level inspectors + Under minimal direction, relies on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Construction Project Manager + Responsible for setting own project deadlines. + Provides on the job training to new employees. + Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties. + Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records. + Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning. + Tracks quality assurance progress. + Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + HS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education + Valid Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience working with Connecticut Dept. of Transportation (CTDOT) + Experience supervising / managing less experienced inspectors. + Willingness to work flexible schedules as needed for projects, including overnight work. + Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification, Engineer In Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE) license. + NICET certification (or ability to obtain required level). **Additional Information** + Relocation is not available. + Sponsorship is not available. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
