Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy to support business objectives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify technology needs, assess risks, and determine IT priorities.
- Lead the digital transformation efforts to modernize the organization’s systems and enhance customer and employee experiences.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of networks, databases, and software systems.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to increase operational efficiency and support business growth.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies and protocols to protect data and systems.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans to mitigate risks and ensure operational resilience.
- Stay current with regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with data protection laws.
- Lead and mentor IT teams, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Set performance objectives and conduct regular evaluations for IT staff.
- Manage IT department budget, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.
- Develop and implement a data management strategy to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.
- Oversee data governance practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility.
- Support analytics initiatives that enable business intelligence and predictive insights.
- Act as a liaison between IT and other departments, ensuring alignment on technology projects and priorities.
- Communicate IT strategy, risks, and progress to the executive team and other stakeholders.
- Support IT-related training and change management initiatives for a smooth adoption of new technologies.
Qualifications
- Requires a Master’s degree level of knowledge in Master's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or similar related field, coupled with a minimum of five (5) years increasingly responsible senior IT leadership experience in a healthcare facility.
- Technical credibility with demonstrated knowledge of networking, unified communications, cloud platforms, high-performance computing systems, information security, EHR systems, and other IT platforms.
- Proven experience in developing and executing IT strategies and managing large-scale IT projects.
- Experience in contracting, negotiations, operations management, business, and clinical support.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure, and healthcare IT systems, including EHRs, practice management systems, and clinical applications.
- Expertise in IT security, compliance, and data privacy regulations.
- Excellent human relations, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
