Responsible for annual budgeting, asset-liability management, balance sheet optimization, and execution of the Credit Union’s overall financial strategies. Manage accounting, recordkeeping, and financial
reporting activities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles that help GreenState achieve its goals. Responsible for the management and reconciliation of the credit union’s investment
portfolio. Oversee and participate in the overall financial and strategic planning for the credit union. Perform other special projects and assignments as may be directed by the President/CEO.

This is an onsite position located at our headquarters in North Liberty, IA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState's
mission and vision. - Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times.
- Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and
responsibilities. - Ensures confidentiality of member information.
- Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Leads creation of the annual budget in collaboration with the Leadership Team. Presents the final
budget to the board of directors for approval. - Leads the asset and liability structure of the Credit Union in coordination with the ALCO team.
Specific responsibilities include: - Chairs and acts as a voting member of the Asset Liability Committee.
- Participates in and approves of discussions and processes/methods utilized related to
pricing of loan and deposit products, and updates and prepares monthly ALM
spreadsheets. - Models balance sheet structure risks, proposes, and drives actions relative to loans,
deposits and related pricing. - Risk analytics including stress testing/scenario planning.
- Directs the production of the Asset Liability Committee Report.
- Ensures Board and staff are adequately apprised of pertinent ALM outcomes.
- Ensures periodic education of Board and staff on ALM techniques.
- Manages the Credit Union’s investment portfolio and asset/liability management policies, in
coordination with the President/CEO, and periodically reports activity to Board of Directors. - Development and execution of the Credit Union’s short and long-term strategy for balance sheet
optimization, including responsibility for all loan participation activity. - Oversees financial planning and analytics capabilities, providing direction, insight, and approach,
acting as a resource to multiple organization constituencies. Includes forecast and planning,
branch and other relevant profitability and performance models. - Coordinates the CPA audits, along with state and federal examinations.
- Manages the Credit Union’s borrowing portfolio.
- Supervises the preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Proactively keeps up to date with financial and industry developments. Is a source for institutional
economic and marketplace data and insights. - Keeps appraised of the latest financial management tools and techniques and evaluate fit for the
Credit Union to ensure processes and methods remain relevant. - Monitors staffing requirements for accounting and finance departments, including staff selection,
development, performance evaluations, and scheduling. - Provides coaching, motivation, and support for subordinates, and develop career plans resulting
in highly motivated, well-trained staff. - Prepares and conducts performance evaluations, prepares documentation for retention in
personnel files. Working with HR, recommends and implements disciplinary actions and
appropriate staff counseling within the department as needed. - Coordinates, tracks, and monitors daily scheduling within those that report directly to this position
including overtime, leave of absences, and prepares periodic tracking reports for the Human
Resources department. - Meets attendance standards to perform job functions including physical presence to provide team
oversite, coordination of work, and ongoing feedback. - Plays a vital role in enriching the community by participating in community service organizations
and/or Credit Union sponsored events on an annual basis. - Voting member of the Commercial/Business Loan Review Committee.
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or related field; with a minimum of 10-15 years of
financial leadership experience. A Certified Public Accountant is desired but not required. - Thorough knowledge and understanding of the credit union’s financial products and services
reports, and the credit union’s products and services delivery systems. - Experience working for a large financial institution greater than $10B in assets is preferred.
- Experience working with the Finance Board Committee and strong knowledge, understanding,
and experience building profitability and pricing models. - Experience with CFPB is preferred.
- Supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership ability and team building skills.
- Ability, availability, and willingness to work additional and/or unconventional hours as demanded
by the workload. - Must be bondable.
