Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team and report directly to the CEO. The CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the financial health of the company. This role requires a dynamic leader with extensive financial management experience, ideally in marketing services or consulting businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
· Financial Strategy: Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.
· Financial Operations: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, accounting, and reporting.
· Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the executive team to drive initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, and investment opportunities.
· Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with private equity investors, banks, auditors, and other financial stakeholders.
· Insights & Decision-Making: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support key business decisions.
· Systems & Processes: Implement and maintain financial systems and controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data while tracking operational activity for sound decision-making.
· Cash Flow & Performance: Monitor and optimize cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance.
· Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve professional growth and high performance.
· Risk & Compliance: Oversee financial risk management and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Audit & Reporting: Ensure timely completion of audited financial statements.
· Acquisition Integration: Lead the financial integration of acquired entities, focusing on synergies, and assist in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence for potential acquisitions.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in private equity-backed companies within the sports marketing services industry (or broader consulting services).
· Expertise in conducting and integrating acquisitions.
· Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
· Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement.
· Experience managing financial aspects of a consulting services business.
· Advanced degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. CPA or CFA designation preferred.
