Are you passionate about empowering girls and making a positive impact in their lives? We're seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Financial Officer to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona! As the CFO, you'll play a crucial role in providing financial leadership and strategic direction to support the growth and development of our Girl Scouting programs. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies to support our ambitious program and leadership development plans for girls and adult members.
Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with our senior leadership team to ensure that financial resources align with our organizational goals and priorities.
Budget Management: Oversee the development of budgets, administer operating plans, and monitor financial performance to ensure effective resource allocation.
Financial Governance: Maintain budgetary control, manage financial records, and ensure compliance with legal requirements and audit standards.
Team Management: Lead and mentor finance and business service staff to ensure efficient operations and effective financial systems.
Compliance: Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local regulations impacting nonprofit organizations and ensure council compliance.
Committee Support: Provide staff support to finance, investment, and audit committees, as well as other board committees as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of ten years' executive-level experience in financial and business leadership, preferably in a nonprofit or youth-serving organization.
Education: Strong academic background in accounting, finance, and management; MBA or Master's degree preferred.
Certification: CPA license preferred.
