JOB SUMMARY:
As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Urban Farmer, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our business operations. You will play a key role in developing and implementing financial strategies to support our company's growth objectives and ensure long-term financial sustainability. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to senior management while managing the day-to-day financial activities of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
• Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning initiatives.
• Conduct financial analysis to evaluate business performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop financial models and forecasts to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• DEVELOP AND MONITOR KPIS THAT TRACK BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
2. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
3. Risk Management:
• Assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
4. Capital Management:
• Manage the company's capital structure, including debt and equity financing.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations to optimize returns, INCLUDING M&A OPPORTUNITIIES
• Oversee cash flow management and liquidity planning.
5. Strategic Leadership:
• Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute INITIATIVES THAT DRIVE TOP AND BOTTOM LINE GORWTH
• Provide financial insights and guidance to support STRATEGIC business decisions SUCH AS PRICING, INNOVATION AND CAPEX INVESTMENTS
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
• SERVE AS A STRATEGIC ADVISOR TO THE CEO
6. PEOPLE LEADERSHIP
• MANAGE A TEAM OF 5 OR MORE FINANCIAL PROFESSIONALS
• DEVELOP / LEAD DIRECTOR AND/OR VICE PRESIDENT LEVEL TALENT
• HELP BUILD A COLLABORATIVE CULTURE CAPABLE OF RESPONDING QUICKLYT TO BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive in the food manufacturing industry; EXPERIENCE MANUFACTURING PIZZA OR FROZEN FOOD A PLUS
• Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of driving financial performance and implementing process improvements.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with the ability to adapt to change and ambiguity; preferably WITH EXPERIENCE IN PRIVATE EQUITY PORTFOLIO COMPANIES.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
• Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be required for file maintenance and office organization.
• Visual acuity to read and analyze financial reports and data.
