About the Job
Are you ready to take the helm as our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO)? We're looking for a dynamic individual to lead the finance and accounting department with innovation and strategic insight. As the CFO, you'll play a pivotal role in steering our financial operations towards success.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the board, providing strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.
Oversee budgeting processes and ensure efficient implementation, while monitoring progress and presenting operational metrics.
Drive new business development through expert analysis and strategic planning, while providing oversight on all contracts.
Act as the main liaison with third parties, ensuring effective communication and implementation of necessary technological tools.
Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, while assessing the cost-effectiveness of service delivery.
Maintain strong relationships with senior executives to understand their needs and provide business solutions.
Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory laws and rules.
Propose long-term financial plans and competitively price future business pursuits.
Provide routine and special reports on budget execution, cash status, and debt, as requested by the board.
Prepare monthly balance sheets and income statements.
Coordinate with the Corporate Tax Accountant on tax returns and filings.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Preference for a CPA qualification.
Proficiency in Excel is a must.
Experience in pricing government contract proposals is highly valued.
Familiarity with GSA MAS contracts is advantageous.
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in Accounting.
Five to seven years of financial and management experience.
Knowledge of DCAA requirements for government contractors is preferred.
Experience with accounting systems, such as Unanet, is beneficial.
Experience with overseas programs/contracts is a plus.
Familiarity with Service Contract Act programs is advantageous.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ 153,000.00 Per Year
