About the Role

A privately owned company in the construction industry, located in Eastern Tennessee, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO). With approximately 200 employees, this organization operates across multiple states and has a long-standing, stable client base. The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial leadership, manage all accounting functions, and work closely with the CEO and COO to drive business growth and financial stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Manage essential accounting functions, including bank reconciliations, month-end close, and tax filings for multi-state payroll.
• Handle asset management and long-term financial forecasting.
• Participate as a core member of the executive leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial experience, with experience in construction or a related industry preferred.
• Skills: Proven expertise in financial planning, tax management, and multi-state payroll.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a small office environment.
• Must be available to work on-site in the Dandridge/Morristown area.
