Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Construction Industry

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management within construction, having served as a Controller or CFO in a similar setting. This is an on-site position with no remote or hybrid work options. Experience managing large financial portfolios exceeding $50M and proficiency with Sage software is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management for the company.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Manage financial risk, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and industry regulations.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, providing timely and accurate financial analysis to senior leadership.
- Lead the accounting team in preparation of financial statements, tax filings, and audits.
- Manage and optimize financial portfolios exceeding $50M, ensuring strong financial health and profitability.
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate financial tracking for construction projects.
- Assist in strategic decision-making and long-term financial planning for the organization.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Controller or CFO in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of financial management and accounting principles in a construction environment.
- Experience managing portfolios exceeding $50M.
- Proficiency in Sage software (Sage 100, Sage 300, or similar).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
- Strong knowledge of construction-specific financial processes, including job costing, contract management, and change order accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
