Position Overview: The St. Mary Parish School Board is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee and manage the financial operations of the district. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting or finance, with leadership experience in the educational sector. The CFO will ensure financial stability and transparency, maintain compliance with relevant regulations, and provide strategic financial leadership to support the school district’s long-term goals. Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.


• Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Certifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified School Business Official (CSBO) preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of senior financial leadership experience, with preference given to those with experience in an educational setting.

Salary: Shown Starting Salary is based on a minimum of 5 years of experience

• Bachelor’s Degree: $79,300


• Master’s Degree: $81,700
