Position Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, playing an important role in helping to develop and execute on the companies’ near and long-term strategic vision. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and partnering with the other members of senior management, the CFO provides financial leadership, operational oversight, and strategic insights help to guide the company in achieving its growth objectives. Directly and through subordinate functional leaders within accounting/finance, human resources, information technology, and contracts they are responsible for managing the company's financial health, ensuring a scalable financial and operational infrastructure, and supporting business decisions with accurate, timely, and relevant data and experiential insights. The CFO must have an ability to balance a high-level strategy with day-to-day financial and operational management with an emphasis on growth, scalability, and innovation.

Essential Functions:
The CFO will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Strategic leadership: As a proactive member of the senior team, supports the execution of its strategy and assists in driving well-defined targets; establish metrics and systems that maintain accountability and manage risks. Serves as both a financial and a business advisor to the CEO and other members of the leadership team.
- Financial management: Leads the accounting, finance, and tax function. Ensuring that the company maintains adequate financial and non-financial controls. Ensures that the company develops and maintains an optimal capital structure, minimizing the cost of capital while maintaining financial flexibility. Stays informed on industry trends and best practices to enhance operations. Drives initiatives for process improvement across the organization.
- Operational management: Manages key functional leaders within human resources, legal/contracts, and information technology leveraging technology to support the business and achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Budgeting & Planning: Leads a rigorous and disciplined annual planning and forecasting process to provide analytical insight and direction to management decision makers, while dually ensuring that aggressive yet realistic plans are established.
- Compliance and Risk management: Ensures compliance with internal policy and external regulations and standards. Develops and implements risk management strategies that safeguard the company and its assets.
- Strategic Growth and M&A: Partners with CEO and other executives to drive and execute on growth through strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and global expansion.
- Board of Director interfacing: Working closely with the CEO on regular interactions with the board of directors to keep members abreast of important business activities.
- Team Leadership: Leads and ensures the continuous development of a high-performing teams to execute on the company's business goals and growth objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, MBA, and a CPA or equivalent preferred
- 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience building with 5 or more years in a CFO role.
- Prior leadership experience in a global SaaS, consulting or professional services firm
- Inspirational manager who can influence, manage, and lead high performing teams. Experience with change management helpful
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience with a PE-backed firm. (don’t think this is a necessity, but a nice to have)
- Experience in a mid-stage SaaS product company.
- Demonstrated experience in capital management, fundraising, M&A activities, and global expansion.
- Prior experience with a PE-backed firm is helpful.
