Role Summary

The Chief Financial Officer will have global oversight and responsibility for financial management and strategy, treasury operations, budgeting and forecasting, capital raising (equity and debt), investor relations, risk management and supporting the other departments within the company, especially technology and product.  

Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy Development:

• Create and implement a strategic financial plan aligned with the company's overall vision and goals. 
•  Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization. 
• Develop financial models to assess the impact of new products, services, and business initiatives.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. 
• Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators to identify trends and areas for improvement.  
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide insights to the leadership team on business performance. 

Risk Management and Compliance:

• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks associated with fintech operations, including regulatory compliance risks. 
• Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and accounting standards. 
• Establish robust internal controls and compliance frameworks. 

Capital Management and Fundraising:

• Manage the company's capital structure and identify potential funding sources. 
• Prepare investor presentations and financial projections for fundraising activities. 
• Maintain strong relationships with investors and analysts. 

Technology Integration:

• Collaborate with technology teams to implement and optimize financial management systems and data analytics tools. 
• Leverage technology to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency. 

Team Leadership:

• Build and lead a high-performing finance team with strong analytical skills and expertise in fintech operations. 
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance team knowledge of financial regulations and technology advancements.

Requirements:

• Experience as CFO or VP Finance in a founder-led Fintech
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in finance/accounting/banking
• Direct management experience

Nice to Haves:

• CPA and/or MBA
• Experience in a leadership role in a global company

Salary Range:

USD$250,000-$300,000 year.
