About the Job
MBE CPAs, LLP, and its affiliate group are growing! We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to guide the financial systems that empower us as we navigate our future strategic initiatives and opportunities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees Accounting, Finance, Insurance, Regulatory, Billing, Collections and Cash Management functions.
- Manage an internal book of business of the Affiliate Group and related entities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including cash flow projections and modeling, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
- Directing and performing financial analysis and data analytics to identify trends and areas of improvement.
- Responsible for driving the organization's financial strategy.
- Responsible for and directs the overall budget process. Updates budgets as necessary and forecasts projections.
- Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization.
- Works with the management team to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
- Identifies opportunities for expansion into new product areas.
- Oversees investment of funds and works with banking partners to raise additional capital required for expansion as may be necessary.
- Assists with Merger and Acquisition transactions.
- Responsible for Quality Control/Internal controls.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
What experience and skills do I need to be successful?
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
- Eight to ten years of experience in financial management is preferred.

What will my schedule look like?
This role supports our office hours of Monday-Friday 8a-5p with flexibility for business needs as it relates to being in a leadership role. This role will work onsite out of our Baraboo office.
