I've teamed up with the a leader steelwork company. They are seeking an experienced Chief Estimator to oversee the estimating department, working closely with management to keep standards high.

Job Description
- Communicate with Owners, Partners, Representatives, Fabricators, General Contractors, Suppliers, Architects and Consultants;
- Optimize job costs by negotiating prices with vendors/sub-contractors through quotations for material/services;
- Coordinate bid preparation requirements with the Contract Administrator;
- Interface with Owner and other contractors to provide engineering and cost data regarding project feasibility;
- Prepare budgets, subcontracts, purchase orders and assist in preliminary project schedules;
- Ensure proper project hand off when project is taken over by PM/Team;
- Review proposal specifications, drawings, and conditions to determine scope of work;
- Estimate Indirect cost including management, construction equipment and tools;
- Review all proposals internally before being submitted to Owner, Fabricator, and/or General Contractor customers;
- Training and mentoring of estimating staff and direct reports;
What you'll need:
- 5+ year's steek estimating experience;
- Experience in industrial & commercial structural & miscellaneous construction work;
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field preferred;
