Chief Clinical Dietician - Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Title: Chief Clinical Dietician

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Salary: Up to $85k

Reports to: Food Service Director/Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Chief Clinical Dietician to join our team. As the Chief Clinical Dietician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nutritional care to the residents of our facility. Your role will involve assessing residents' nutritional needs, developing care plans, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality nutritional services.

Responsibilities:

Assessment and Care Plan Functions:

• Conduct comprehensive diet history interviews with residents upon admission.
• Modify daily menus in accordance with physician orders, residents' preferences, and dietary needs.
• Assess nutritional status of assigned residents and provide guidance and counseling.
• Document all aspects of nutritional care plans in residents' medical records.
• Participate in food service evaluation and Resident Assessment Instrument completion.
• Develop written dietary plans of care and review goals as necessary.
• Ensure food service personnel are informed of changes in residents' care plans.
• Facilitate meal planning appropriate to residents' needs and preferences.
• Liaise with medical, nursing, and social services staff regarding nutritional care.
• Review and ensure compliance of therapeutic and regular diet plans with physician orders.
• Serve on committees and attend meetings related to food and nutritional services.
• Assist in training and supervising Dietary Technicians.
• Participate in continuing education activities to maintain professional competence.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory agency requirements.

Requirements:

• Must be a Registered Dietician.
