About the Job
The Chief Bartender leads Tonight & Tomorrow’s and Bar No.3 beverage operations. The Chief Bartender’s main responsibilities are to train the bar team, teaching them how to provide fun and memorable service experiences rooted on service excellence, and to ensure that the bar is properly supplied based on weekly inventories.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Maintaining the hotel’s beverage, bar and bar/service ware inventories.
2. Reviewing and sign off completed opening/closing checklists daily and that upcoming shift is prepared/stocked for opening/closing.
3. Seeking out latest trends and products in industry and sharing with F&B Management.
4. Developing creative, interesting, and exciting Cocktail seasonal menus.
5. Ensuring that all bar equipment is operational, functional, and squeaky clean.
6. Training staff in their fundamental procedures and duties as bartenders, bar backs, and cocktail servers.
7. Responsible for the bar team providing extraordinarily excellent customer service.
8. Inspecting staff appearance and uniforms daily.
9. Write and publish menu product recipes and preparation methods to ensure consistency.
10. Ensuring all beverage staff is TABC certified and current. Verify team certifications.
11. Observe all legal guidelines and procedures of TABC.
12. Responsible for impeccable sanitation and cleanliness of all bar equipment, tools and storage, and reporting all maintenance needs to F&B Director.
13. Thorough knowledge and application of hotel policies, procedures, and practices.
14. Maintaining relationships with members of the craft liquor community, such as distributors, peers, and brewers.
15. Making specialty and signature mix-ins
16. Participating in industry events, local chamber, and/or community activities to build a networking database and generate event sales opportunities, cocktail bartender competition.
17. Weekly cocktail post on Instagram.
18. Host cocktail Mixology classes.
19. Maximizing effective usage of the systems in place such as silverware and recommend system improvements.
20. Attend all weekly BEO meetings, taking notes and communicating info to the bar team.
21. Responds to individual guest needs, inquiries, and resolve complaints promptly.
22. Perform any other duties as assigned or required.
